Blue Angels.

Oooooo how I love the air show in Jacksonville. We went last year and loved it....so back we went this year! It was awesome. The Blue Angels are simply amazing, it's so cool watching them. The exact precision and detail of these pilots is unreal, they are truly talented people. Sitting in front of us during the show was the mother of one of the "angels"....she was from Michigan! It was fun to talk to her about her son and the journey he has been on to becoming a "angel", I had no idea! Anyway, it was a fun day. We met up with some friends we hadn't seen in a while, enjoyed the sunshine, and had a lovely Saturday afternoon at the beach. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

A new Will in the making....

So I have to brag a little about Will, he is getting skinny, fast. We began our weight loss competition October 11 and it is still going strong. With that said, Will hates taking the dog out, a lot...so he is focused. The loser every Sunday has dog duty until the next weigh in.....and we live on the third floor. He is at 8 lbs lost and going strong. Today when I got out of work I got a phone call from him telling me he went to the library. At first I didn't believe him....Will, library? Yeah, no. Ok...so he really did! He went on to tell me he got a book a friend told him about - "Eat This, Not that"...and I must say, it's great! All night tonight I've heard out of Will things such as....."What?! No more ranch in the house? No!!! Not twix!!!!!!" It's been priceless. Needless to say, Will is becoming a new man. Not only becoming aware of how terrible a lot of food is for him but becoming skinny! He only has 12 more lbs to go by Christmas...obviously beating me. I've only lost 5, 10 more to go....but I'm NOT losing it near as quickly as he is. And here he is - reading his new book :) I love this man...
Say a little prayer for me this Sunday, I need a win! Speaking of Sunday....our friend Rebecca who is breaking into photography is going out with us and doing a family session of Will, Mikado, and I! I'm excited....I'll be sure to post some pictures as soon as we have them :) Until then...

No excuses.

I'm not even going to try and escape out of this one...I've been bad. Life has been busy! Not an excuse...a fact. I've started my new job, Will and I have begun exercising a lot, I have homework, and we're busy! So here is a quick update and I'll try my darnest to post more often.

Will and I are currently taking part in our own version of "The Biggest Loser". Bottom line, we weigh in every Sunday morning. Who ever loses more (based on %), wins! The loser, has dog duty...for the entire week. Yup, that is correct....the entire week. For those of you who don't know, we live on the third floor of an apartment....trust me, it's motivation. Will is currently kicking my butt...but I guarantee, that will be changing. Will would like to lose 20 and I'd like to lose 15, by December 20. We've been at it for 3 weeks and Will has lost 7 and I've lost 3, yeah, I'm losing. Ok, moving on!

Dad and Jill were here to visit last weekend, we had a blast. We got to do all sorts of fun stuff, like Disney and Universal! The plus of living in Florida. It was really great to have them here, it's always nice when family visits. Here are some pictures of our fun weekend :)








The weekend before dad and Jill were here for a visit dear friends of ours got married, Jason and Ashleigh. We love them lots :) They have become close friends of ours and we were honored to be a part of their day. Ashleigh was a lovely bride....I had a blast being her coordinator for the day :)





I'd say that sums up the important events going on in the last few weeks. I'll be back, it's time to be better at this (I know, I always say that). We miss you all up North A LOT and are looking forward to being home for Christmas (snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Take me out to the ball game....

Will is the softball king! Ok, maybe not....but he is good, and loves playing. He joined our church league this fall and they've had a few games. Currently they are 2-1, yeah! It's fun going out, watching, and cheering them on...not to mention, Will loves it. Here are a few pictures of him up to bat and running for first! I apologize for the quality, must love cell phone pictures...

Outside of softball, life is good :) Will got back to Jacksonville tonight from a 4 day Atlanta getaway. I'll give ya'll one guess what he was doing there - you guessed, Braves games. He had fun - got to spend quality time with his brother Bradley and sister in law Nichole. While he was away I got to clean, study, and throw a bachelorette party for a good friend getting married next month, we had fun.

Hope everyone is doing well....I'm beginning to miss fall weather. It is that time of year when the weather is great up north and down here, well, it's still hot. I want cold, Florida does not. So sad. So enjoy it for me if you're up there! We'll be back for an update soon..love you all.

Overdue...

That is about all I can say for the title of this massive update - overdue. Where to begin...

The weather is FINALLY starting to cool off in the sunshine state...and I'm seriously pumped about it. We're looking at mid to high 80's during the day and 70 at night....ahhhhhh. I can smell winter. As our friend Jason likes to say....."Florida has 2 seasons....summer and January"....I think he is on to something...

Mikado is fixed! All fixed! No more bloody yuckiness when he....well, you know....I won't go into details. However, I still get to excited when he goes to the bathroom and it is clean.....yeahhh....

I started my new job this last Tuesday. It's going well. It's different. I had a slight emotional break down yesterday when I left work. Why? Because I still get frustrated that I have a B.S. degree from a nationally recognized University and I file. And scan. And answer phones. And take patients back. And.....frustrating. 8 months from now I hope to be in nursing school.....Ok I'm making it sound terrible - it's much better then where I was before, just not what I'd REALLY like to be doing in the grand scheme of things.

Labor day weekend, we did nothing. Will worked on Labor day - boo. But other than that - nothing. This weekend - nothing! Gosh, life really is great. No worries.

Ok, I promise to be better. I hope that is enough of a little update for ya'll. Tonight - Dorito casserole for dinner - I better go get cooking!
